This garment can be worn in several different ways, to suit any situation. Personally, I take it with me when I go walking, and it usually ends up as a lightweight hat or neck-warmer. But it could also be a balaclava, headband or a ‘sahariane’.

Construction
Working with circular(s) or dpns, start on 3.25mm needles and work a decorative band. Switch to 4mm needles to work the main part of the garment in a netting stitch.

Yardage/yarn weight
A little uncertain on this, as the 100g skein I used didn’t seem to have the yardage marked on it. The thread was lighter than 4ply fingering, but definitely heavier than laceweight, so I’ve nominally called it ‘light fingering’ even though the wraps per inch came out at 18 wpi.
