> chameleon finger puppet
chameleon finger puppet
Four-legged, tail-curling, goggle-eyed little chameleon that can be made either as a finger puppet (for left or right hand) or as stand-up figure.
Worked in the round with single and double crochet and using up less than 25 g of any self-striping or plain sock yarn, it’s a fab little project for some odds and ends from the stash.
best suited for intermediate crocheters
the asymmetrical pattern is written in abbreviations (supported by photographs) and calls for increasing, decreasing, short row shaping, sewing and - I’m not gonna lie to you - quite a bit of patience when it comes to working with all the small and fiddly parts
needed
8-12 hours
2 mm & 2.5 mm crochet hook
approx. 20 g sock yarn
tapestry needle
small amout of stuffing
finished chameleon measures approx. 11.5 x 6.5 x 2.5 cm
and is - due to small parts - not intended to be used by children under three years
Thank you to all the creative, generous and patient folk who tested my pattern!
