’Champs fleuris’, or field of flowers, is inspired by the breathtaking view of countryside fields were I used to spend my childhood vacation in Quebec. It is both resolutely feminine and warm at the same time, making it a perfect accessory for a countryside escape or a touch of glamour to your city outfit.

This gorgeous shawl is available in 2 sizes, a smaller kerchief size and a large full size shawl. It is worked from the bottom up, starting with the ruffles. A line of daisy pictorial lace follows, delimited by 2 Vikkel Braids and then a body of paquerette stitch finishes the shawl. There are 2 options available for the paquerette stitch section: one with the flower motif aligned with the spine of the shawl and another with the flower motif scattered.

Champs Fleuris requires intermediate to advanced skills level. It will require your attention in the making of the paquerette stitch section, but with a little bit of patience, you should be able to make a shawl you will be proud of!

Champs Fleuris is also the last design to be added to my It’s so FLUFFY! ecollection, available here on Ravelry.
