This shawl is knit bottom-up with short row shaping used to create the crescent shape. Chandra is a lunar deity in Hindu tradition.

Stitches Used: k2tog, p2tog, ssk, ssp (full explanation provided to create ssk and ssp stitches); short row shaping is created without having to wrap and turn.

Skill Level: Intermediate/Adventurous Beginner

Sizes: Small, Medium and Large. Directions are written for small version with changes for medium and large versions in parentheses.

Gauge: 19 sts and 30 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch

- Size 5mm (US 8) circular needles
(at least 32”/80cm long)
- Size 8mm (US 11) circular needles
(at least 32”/80cm long) for cast on
