Changes is a lovely cowl that works up quickly and is a stylish way of keeping cosy on chilly days. Wear with the pretty rolled edge uppermost around the neck or as the lower border for two different looks. It can be left to hang long or wrapped twice around.

The mixture of simple lace and soft rivulets of garter stitch will keep your interest throughout the project. These juxtapositions inspired the name which was also chosen in loving memory of the incomparable David Bowie…a great man and artist who’s mantra in life was to be creative, and to be proud of who you are and what you do which, I felt, was fabulously apt for all craft folk. Size: After blocking, approx 8 inches/20.5 cms deep (with the edge rolled) 25 inches/64 cms in diameter. Gauge is not essential but you are looking for a nice drape, if your tension is very tight try going to a size 5.00 mm needle.

Worked lengthways in the round so no seaming and just a few ends to weave in.
