Changing Tides Cable Scarf

Flowing cables evoke the shifting tides of Maine’s coast. We used Frog Tree’s supersoft merino to make these cables stand out. Work your own version to add an elegant touch to your fall and winter outerwear. Scarf size is approximately 5.5 inches wide and 46 inches long. A great first time cable project for any knitter.
Knitted on larger needles than the gauge stated on the fiber, the look becomes more detailed. This 8 row repeat pattern only uses the cable needle for two rows so it is easier to knit than it looks! Use a counter to keep track and you will be impressed with your efforts. We used 3 skeins of yarn for this scarf.
