Chani
Chani was the pattern included in the September installment of the Wooly Wonka 2013 Heroines Shawl Club.
This flowing, semi-circular shawl was inspired by Chani, the fierce Fremen warrior from Frank Herbert’s Dune. The shawl was knit in a yarn the color of spice-laden sand. The waves created in the tip-to-tip body look like dunes in the desert; blue beads added along the knit-on lace border symbolize the water the Fremen hold dear and the deep blue of Chani’s eyes. Wrapped around your shoulders, this shawl will take the chill off of a desert night.
Wing Span: 80 in/203 cm
Depth: 23 in/58 cm
