Ribbing is folded over to keep your ears extra warm and the hat is knit in a lovely garter stitch. Put a faux fur, real fur or yarn pom pom on the top for a stylish look! Knit several, this hat is a fun, quick project.

You need 1-2 skeins of Malabrigo Caracol* or 1 skein of Mirasol Ushya, or approximately 90 yards of any super bulky yarn. I have knit three hats using the Caracol yarn. Two had 21-26 grams remaining. The third hat required 24 grams of a second skein. I believe this was because the yarn was almost all “thick” and therefore the skein had less yardage. But then there is lots for a yarn pom pom if you like!
