chanteuse (French) (ʃɑ̃tøz) n
(Music, other) a female singer, esp in a nightclub or cabaret
(French: singer)

This pattern is (intentionally) the same basic pattern as the Habanera Pullover with the addition of a few extra rows at the back of the neck (just after the cast on) to allow for a bit more coverage (that is therwise provided by the cowl in Habanera) Both patterns are included in the Habanera/Chanteuse ebook.

Sometimes it’s nice to make and wear something basic. The Chanteuse Pullover is just that--a top-down, seamless pullover worked almost entirely in the round with ¾ raglan sleeves. Make it in a basic sock yarn for an everyday, go-to sweater, or jazz it up with a special luxury-fiber yarn. Either way, you’re sure to look wonderful with a custom fit.
Shaping to the waist and hips is accomplished along princess “seams” to allow for maximum customization.

Also included in the pattern is a general How-to for adding Horizontal Bust Darts (HBD) as well as a section “A Few Thoughts About Fit” for advice on how to adapt the shaping to your own fit preferences.

Sizes: 29(32, 35, 38, 41, 44, 47, 50)” bust. Finished bust measurements: 29.3(32, 35.3, 38, 41.3, 44, 47.3, 50)”.

Requires 3(3, 4, 4, 4, 5, 5, 5) skeins Plucky Primo Fingering (385 yds/101 g), or approximately 900(1000, 1175, 1250, 1375, 1550, 1650, 1775) yards of fingering weight yarn.
