Add a touch of vintage charm to your cottage decor with my Chantilly Rose crochet cushion cover pattern. Featuring a blooming rose in the centre, surrounded with a beautifully textured crochet background, it is a joy to crochet, use and display. The texture is inspired by vintage lace and candlewick bedspreads and is created by using simple stitches in interesting ways. The back of the cushion uses a classic shell stitch to continue the theme, with a button-up envelope back for easy removal for washing.
The PDF crochet pattern is written to cater for all levels of crochet experience, with photos and accompanying videos for those wanting a little support and a printer-friendly text only section for the more experienced crocheter. What sets this pattern apart is that the more complex rounds for squaring off the circle are also provided in the form of handy checklists, so you can keep track of where you are up to more easily than when using a longer chunk of text.
The pattern uses DK weight yarn and 3.5mm and 4mm crochet hooks.
You’ll need 3 colours to make one like that shown in the photos, 2 balls of main colour and 1 ball of each contrast colour.
The finished size depends on your personal tension, mine was 42cm and I used a 45cm cushion pad.
