Chapel House Cowl
The Chapel House Cowl features a combination of ribbing and cable work to create a textured winter accessory. The patterns created take inspiration from the architecture of Harrogate Spa Town, particularly the archways and columns that feature on so many of the town’s beautiful buildings. Chapel House, which gives its name to this design, is an especially fine example of this.
Also available: The Chapel House Hat.
This accessory is worked bottom up and features sections of ribbing and sections of cablework throughout. For the upper ribbing, there are two options: one with decreases and one without. If worked, the decreases cinch in the top of the cowl, creating a more snug fit.
SAMPLE
The wearer is 5’10” / 178cm with a 37” / 92.5cm chest circumference. The sample has been worked in size Adult Large, with Cable Pattern 1 and 2 worked twice and with the upper ribbing decreases.
Photographs also show Child Size on an 8 year old and a 5 year old.
