Character Magic Wallet
These are crochet Magic Wallets!!!!
They’re so much fun to play with and so easy to make once you learn the “trick” to making them!
If you don’t know how a magic wallet works, then oh my goodness you’re in for a treat! They’re the cutest things!!! I have a basic magic wallet pattern in my store, and accompanying that pattern is a YouTube tutorial for it. In the YouTube tutorial I demonstrate what it is and how to “play” with it, so please check that out if you’ve never seen one.
This pattern will include 3 very different ways to make a magic wallet. Each wallet requires a different hook size and amount of yarn, but none of them take over 250 yards of yarn. Most decorations I made using scrap yarn, so this really is not a yarn-eating project at all!
Materials you’ll need to make a magic wallet are as follows:
Yarn comparable to either Red Heart Super Saver, or even Peaches & Creme cotton yarn. As long as its a good sturdy yarn (not thin and not bulky), the pattern will work with it. I’ve shown how to measure against a dollar bill to obtain the correct size in the pattern.
Plastic Canvas
Yarn needle
Scissors
Hook sizes are available in patterns; too many different ones to list here
