Charlevoix Wrap & Scarf
The Charlevoix wrap is perfect for cool summer evenings. The blend of silk and linen gives the finished wrap (and scarf) a wonderful drape, softness, and shine. And with the I-cord edges and K2P2 pattern, it’s completely reversible (just be sure to weave in ends carefully)!
This wrap begins at the bottom left corner, increasing at both edges until the full width is achieved. Then a decrease is worked at one edge while an increase is worked at the other to continue the bias shaping. When the desired length is achieved, decreases are worked at both edges until just a few stitches remain.
Finished Measurements:
Scarf (Wrap)
Width: 5.5 (14) in / 14 (35.5) cm
Length: 74 (82) in / 188 (208) cm
Yarn:
This wrap is designed with a light silk and linen blend, creating a beautiful drape, slight sheen, and, as the linen continues to soften with time, a beautifully soft feel. It’s perfect for wrapping up on a cool summer evening.
Sample knit with Alley Cat Yarns Silk Linen (245 yds/224 m, 1.75 oz/50 g, 65% silk, 35% linen): 2 skeins Goldenrod (4 skeins Platinum)
Worsted weight yarn (Craft Yarn Council Super Fine 1)
490 (980) yds
448 (896) m
NOTE: I had just 2 grams of yarn remaining of the four skeins required when knitting the Wrap. If you are concerned about running out of yarn purchase an extra skein (pattern alteration ideas included in Pattern Notes). The two skeins for the Scarf are more than sufficient for that size.
