ChArlie Combustible Cowl is a volatile combination of cables and lace that can be worn a multitude of ways. The chemistry between the biological leaf elements and the physical cable strength is what makes this design a success.

A great first introduction to lace with a unique, but simple, technique that produces explosively fat cables to frame each edge.

This pattern can be adapted to any weight yarn between Sport (with 2 strands) and Super Chunky. Extend the length for a cowl, double cowl or scarf by adding pattern repeats.

A very adaptable pattern that can evolve to meet your vision.

Gauge is given in The Fiberists Audubon Worsted. NOTE: I am a continental knitter and my gauge is typically loose. You will probably require larger needles to match my gauge exactly but the good news is that gauge is NOT CRITICAL so do not stress about it. Choose a needle size that accentuates your yarn best.
