Thank you so much for your interest in the Charlotte 3-in-1 Beanie pattern! Available in three styles and four sizes, this loose-fitting beanie pattern is incredibly versatile and can be easily adjusted to fit your specific measurements.

The beanie is created with one of my favorite stitch combinations, the Griddle Stitch, which consists of an ongoing single crochet, double crochet repeat throughout the design. The beanie, including the brim, is constructed sideways as a panel which is then sewn together along the first and last rows, with additional rounds added to the top end to close the beanie.

The pattern uses a heavy worsted or aran weight yarn and a 5.5 mm or 6.0 mm crochet hook (or the hook size that best maintains the texture of the stitch with the yarn you choose). The gauge serves as a guide for the final measurements of the beanie, but meeting it is not required. If you prefer to use a different weight yarn you can easily adjust the number of stitches and rows in the pattern to best fit your style!

I hope you enjoy making many versions of this pattern, and that it becomes a treasured gift — or easy market make! — within your crochet library. I highly recommend adding a cork, wooden, or faux leather tag and a yarn or faux fur pom to your finished beanie to complete the look.
