This cozy poncho is super soft with great drape and makes a chic fashion statement!
Worked from the top down with a boat neck, textured body and elegant scallop lace border.
Construction: Poncho is worked top down in two pieces. Short row wedges are added at 3 sections of the center point to add length to the body but not at the arms.
Size: S (M, L) – shown in size M on a 36”/91.5cm model
Neck width: 9.5 (11, 12.75)”/24 (28, 32.5)cm
Length at point: 25.5 (26.5, 26.5)”/64.5 (67.5, 67.5)cm
Yarn: 12 (14, 17) skeins Zealana Luxuria Air Laceweight (191yds/175m, .88oz/25g, 40% Cashmere, 40% Brushtail Possum, 20% Mulberry Silk) A03 Slate Blue, yarn held double throughout

9 (10, 12) skeins Zealana Performa Rimu DK (140yds/128m, 1.75oz/50g, 60% Merino Wool, 40% Brushtail Possum) R26 Denim, held single
Poncho can be knit with a single strand of Rimu DK or with two strands of Air
Needles: US 6 (4mm) straight/circular needle for neck
US 7 (4.5mm) 28”/70cm or longer circular needle for body or size to obtain gauge US 8 (5mm) 32”/80cm or longer circular needle for lace border
Notions: Stitch marker, row counter, removable stitch markers/safety pins
Gauge: 19 sts and 28 rows = 4”/10cm in box stitch pattern on middle needle size
