This pattern is knit from the center top out, using size 5 US dpns or longer circulars with the magic loop method. This Malabrigo yarn I used created a nice ribbed band (using size 3 dpns) that was stretchy enough to fit a range of women’s head sizes. I used well under one skein of yarn for this project.

This hat is wonderful to wear because, while it is warm, it is very light weight and comfortable.
