Materials needed:

  • 36 g main colour DK weight yarn for body, head, legs and ears (I used burgundy)
  • Secondary colour DK weight yarn for hoofs (I used dark gray-brown)
  • Thin yarn for eyes, or safety eyes if you prefer that (I used mercerized cotton yarn, 670 m by 100 g, black and white)
  • Stuffing
  • 2.25 mm hook
  • If crocheted eyes, 1.5 mm hook
  • Darning needle
  • Sewing needle to attach the eyes

I have used acrylic yarn (120 m by 50 g). If you use another yarn, make sure to change crochet hook accordingly.
