Charmantes Socks
Description: The Charmantes Socks are the perfect, cable knit socks to set the mood for enchanting autumn weather. These socks are knit from the top-down, in the round, and with a heel flap and gusset.
Method: knitting
Skill Level: intermediate or adventurous beginner (experience knitting cables).
Yarn: Little Lionhead Knits DK Sock Yarn in Cider 225 m (246 yd) per 100 g.
Yardage:
Size 1 - 85 g or 1932 m (210 yd)
Size 2 - 100 g or 225 m (246 yd)
Size 3 - 115 g or 260 m (283 yd)
Size 4 - 135 g or 304 m (332 yd)
Yardage given is for knitting socks that are monotone. An alternative could be knitting the heels and toes in a contrast colour. I recommend having about 30 g of yarn on hand for the contrast colour if you go this route.
Needles: US3 (3.25 mm) DPNs.
Approx. Gauge: 24 sts x 36 rounds for 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4 in) in stockinette after blocking.
Notions: tapestry needle, scissors, and removable stitch marker, cable needle.
This pattern has been tech-edited and all sizes have been test-knit.
