These fancy mittens have very long cuffs and nicely fitted thumbs. Most of the mitten is knitted with size 2 needles except for the ribbing at the wrist. I used size 1 needles for those 7 rows to make a snug fit.

All yarns are Knit Pick Palette 100% wool fingering weight
Bittersweet Heather (MC) 62 yds
Midnight Heather 58 yds
Garnet Heather 20 yds
Doe (CC) 67 yds
Coriander Heather 44 yds

If you choose colors other than the ones I have used you’ll want 3 dark shade and 2 light shades to get the effect.

To create a swatch just start the cuff. That way you will be able to check your gauge and decide if you like the colors you choose…if all is good just keep knitting.
