Charming Outcast (Aquarius)
Charming Outcast (Aquarius) is available individually and as part of the Zodiac Collection. 12 patterns inspired by each Zodiac sign.
Aquarians are a little bit weird and quirky. They are charming with a peculiar sense of humor. They want to be accepted with all their eccentricities. They are intelligent, rational, idealistic, and visionaries. If you need a new way to see the world, just ask their opinion: you are going to get their own set of unique logic.
This makes them set to live their lives in direct opposition to the current world. But they also love to figure people out. They struggle to resolve the tension between their need for community and their need for complete freedom. This shawl is an interpretation of this unique personality.
Are you an Aquarius? I would love to hear from you. Let me know in the comments if the pattern fits your personality.

CONSTRUCTION NOTES
This is a beautiful heavyweight shawl made with some squish bulky yarn. The secret to make this heavy shawl comfortable to wear is the strategic increases placement. I added a paired yarn over increases that radiate from the center neck cast on, and increases at the edges on both right and wrong side rows. This creates a curved shape that sits perfectly on your shoulders.
Knitted with large needles and simple stitches, this is a super fast project you can finish on a weekend. The result is a dramatic, modern, and fun shawl.
