A garden trellis, a pie safe, a stained-glass window – beautiful lattices are everywhere you look. In a celebration of stranded colorwork, these ankle-height socks feature alternating bands in two subtle variations, with a contrasting striped pattern on the soles. The top-down construction uses a flap heel and a Kitchener stitch toe. As the name suggests, this pattern is fully charted. For best results, in the latticework sections take advantage of the color dominance phenomenon by consistently stranding one color below the other for 16 rounds, then switching the color that is stranded beneath every 16 rounds thereafter.
