Errata Note for Book Only
Charter, a textured ribbed stitch hooded sweater/jacket for dolls, with a trendy sleeveless option.
Inspired by today’s fashion trends and the desire to create functional clothing for my 18” Gotz dolls and the popular American Girl dolls of today prompted this versatile hoodie.
Also to be featured on the cover on my Seasonal Hand Knitted Designs for 18” Dolls, Spring/Summer Knitting Pattern Book, due out fall/winter 2013
Pattern Features:
The textured ribbed stitch pattern throughout has been written out with line-by-line instructions given, including buttonhole placement worked in seed stitch. A paneled hood worked in three sections; back with two side panels, which is then seamed.
Set in long sleeves with the option of omitting them for a trendy sleeveless version (as pictured in teal modeled by Jessica)
Designer’s Note:
Worked flat ~ my preferred knitting technique using my bamboo straights
Designed to fit:
18” Gotz Dolls like my models Elisabeth & Jessica, and 18” American Girl Dolls that share the same body type.
Construction: Worked from the bottom up in one piece to armholes, including button bands, then each section is worked individually.
Skill Level:
Advance Beginner-Easy: Project using basic stitches, repetitive stitch patterns, and simple shaping and finishing.
A perfect addition to your doll’s seasonal wardrobe, for exploring the great outdoors, providing extra warmth whether living on an island, along the coast, in the mountains, and great for play time too
