Chasing Dawn wrap is a new knitting advent-ure with mini skeins!

You can use any number of colors. The sample shown uses one full skein for MC and 12 mini skeins for CC.

The wrap is rectangular shape and knitted from one end to another. The pattern can be worked from written instructions or charts. Only one color is worked at a time and no complicated stitches.

The length is easy to adjust by working more or fewer sections.
The pattern is written for the width shown. The modifications to adjust the width using parts of the main pattern are given at the end of the main pattern. The amount of yarn needed for those sizes is not determined.

YARN: Miss Babs Yummy 2-ply (100% Superwash Merino)

• Main Color (MC) - 1 full skein (400 yd / 110g)
• Contrast Colors (CC) - 12 mini skeins (80 yd/20 g)

or any similar fingering weight yarn with the same yardage.

NEEDLES: US 4 (3.5 mm).
NOTIONS: darning needle, 1 stitch marker, blocking wires (optional)
GAUGE: 25 sts x 48 rows = 4” in slip stitch pattern; 26 sts x 28 rows = 4” in a lace pattern. Gauge is not crucial for this project, but will affect the yardage and finished size if different from above.
SIZES: Width approx. XS- 7.5”, S - 11”, M - 15”, L - 19”, XL -21”, Length - custom.

CC - 12 mini skeins (Colors 1-12 of Miss Babs Festive 2024: Joyous Brights).

Instructions are available in 3 formats:

compact (5 pages, 11 pt)

large print (16 pages, 20 pt), the version with big letters for those who use portable devices like tablets and e-readers; also for those knitters who have difficulties reading small font on paper.

charts (2 pages, 11 pt) with only minimal notes are available as a separate file. If you want bigger charts, you can print them as a poster (in Acrobat: tile scale 125% with 1” overlap will spread each page on 2 sheets of paper, the equivalent of 17”x 11”).
