Pourquoi ce nom :
J’ai emménagé cet été à quelques kilomètres de New York City.
Avec mon fils, nous avons pas mal visité la ville et, il est tombé sous le charme de la vue de ces building appelé « Slyline » ( vue sublime depuis Ellis Island et Governor Island).
Il m’a demandé de réfléchir sur la réalisation de chaussettes reprenant ce visuel : de grandes barres de tailles différentes.
J’espère vous transporter un peu à NYC ainsi !

Inspiration:
Since we moved from France to the New York City Area this summer, my son and I have visited the City a lot. My son especially fell in love with the skyline view (best views from Ellis and Governors Island!) and asked me if I could translate those beautiful skyscrapers into a sock design. Thus, Skyline socks were born.

Materials

• circular needles US 1 or 2.25mm, or size needed to obtain gauge
• From 200 to 500 yards (180 to 450 m) of sock yarn, depending on foot size
• 100g around 430 yards or 400 m.
• double pointed needle US 1 (2,25 mm), or corresponding needle size needed to obtain gauge
• waste yarn in a contrasting color to indicate heel placement
• 2 stitch markers (begin and middle row)
• tapestry needle

Gauge (in stockinette stitch): 5 cm x 5 cm ( 2”x 2”) = 19 stitches x 26 rows
