Chaves is the first stop on our Journey of Traversing Portugal from North to South in Socks.

Located in the North of Portugal lies Chaves. This city has its origins in the Paleolithic times as evidenced by the many artifacts that have been found in the region. It has been occupied by the Romans who used it as a military center known for its baths. One of the most iconic landmarks of the city is the bridge built by the romans and which to this day still stands and is still in use. It is on this bridge and the medicinal waters of the baths that I have based this pattern on.

This sock is a textured sock, using only knits and purls, there are various options available per size.

Chaves é a primeira paragem da nossa Aventura de atrevessar Portugal de Norte a Sul em Meias.

Localizada no Norte de Portugal encontra-se Chaves. Esta cidade tem as suas origens na idade Paleolítico como evidenciam os muitos artefactos que foram encontrados na região. Foi ocupada pelos Romanos que a utilizaram como centro militar conhecido pelas suas termas. Um dos pontos de referência mais emblemáticos da cidade é a ponte construída pelos romanos e que até hoje permanece e ainda está em uso. É nesta ponte e nas águas medicinais dos banhos que baseei este modelo.

A meia é construida com os pontos de meia e liga para criar uma meia texturada, há varias opções disponiveis por tamanho.
