Check Yourself Raglan is a cozy, oversized garment designed to envelop you in warmth and style. This exaggerated raglan style sweater is knit seamlessly from the top down with a turned funnel neck collar and a lovely boxy fit for the body. Ideal for knitters looking to hone their skills in slipped stitch or mosaic knitting.
GAUGE
20 sts & 29 rows for 4”/10 cm on US 7/4.5 mm needles in pattern.
FIT & SIZE
This garment is to be made with a large amount of positive ease; I would suggest approx. 3-10” or 8-26 cm of ease but knit what you are most comfortable wearing
Size 1 = 34”/86 cm, Size 2 = 38”/96.5 cm, Size 3 = 44”/112 cm, Size 4 = 48”/122cm, Size 5 = 52”/132 cm, Size 6 = 54”/137 cm, Size 7 = 58”/147 cm, Size 8 = 62”/157 cm, Size 9 = 66”/168 cm. Sizes based on finished bust circumference.
YARN
Yarn requirements given for ¾ length sleeve and will vary slightly with sleeve length.
MC - 577 (645, 747, 815, 882, 916, 984, 1052, 1120) yards or 528 (590, 683, 745, 807, 838, 900, 962, 1024) meters.
CC - 519 (580, 671, 732, 793, 824, 885, 946, 1007) yards or 474 (530, 614, 669, 725, 753, 809, 865, 921) meters.
Version 1: Red & Black with ¾ length sleeves shown in size 4 on a 38”/96.5 cm bust for an oversized fit.
MC – The Green Mountain Spinnery RAGG-TIME color Armstrong (100% Wool), 306 yards/280 meters per 100-gram skein.
CC - Hudson Valley Fibers MOODNA color Black Trumpet (40% Romney Wool, 60% American Wool), 260 yds/238 meters per 100-gram skein.
Version 2: Pink & Grey with full length sleeves shown in size 3 on a 38”/96.5 cm bust for an oversized fit.
MC – 3 strands held together:
o 2 strands of Holst Garn Supersoft color Rosebud (50% Wool, 50% Shetland), 314 yards/287 meters per 50-gram cake.
o 1 strand of The Wandering Flock Mohair Silk color Beach Party (80% Kid Mohair, 20% Silk), 430 yards/393 meters per 50-gram skein.
