Knit in soft and drapey Linum, the Checkerboard Baby Blanket calls to mind a slice of Battenberg cake or a child’s building blocks. We chose pretty pastels for our sample, but any two colours of Linum will make a charming blanket that will be loved and cuddled for years to come. Pick a colour combo from one of our kits or choose your own mix. You could even choose four colours if you prefer, one for each corner!

This pattern combines simple knitting and purling with basic intarsia. If you’ve been looking to learn this sometimes-intimidating technique, this pattern is just the one to get you started.
