Colorwork is used often in knitting, but overlooked quite a bit in crochet. A friend and I were discussing how much we love looking at the carried yarn on the backside of knitting, and she developed a mobius pattern using 2 colors so that you could enjoy seeing those carries as part of your work. Why not celebrate carrying yarn in crochet too?

This is a one size fits most cowl and mitts set, though pattern is worked in multiples of 6 and could be adjusted as needed. I wrote this pattern about 5 years ago for teaching new crochet skills, so the yarn colors pictured may not be available (Cascade Cherub Aran was used in colors 20 and 22). Any worsted weight yarn will do, 200 yds of each color. The design switches the dominant color between the cowl and mitts to best use up the yarn - if you would like the dominant color to be the same for both the cowl and mitts you will need to purchase additional yarn of the desired dominant color.
