Checkerboard Scarf
by Betsy Coyne
This “checkerboard” scarf is made of alternating blocks of knit below and purl below to combine beautiful colors of sock yarn. If you can knit and purl, you can make this with knit below and purl below. It is easier than it looks. Although the colors form up in columns, you use only one color per row. The scarf is completely reversible. You can easily adjust the length to your liking. It looks best if one color is a solid or tonal color, while the other one is a highly contrasting hand painted yarn.
