CHECKERED
CHECKERED can be anything you want – classic elegant or modern rebellious depending on how you style it with your wardrobe. Originally designed for 2 skeins of fingering weight yarn, the pattern also lends itself to different yarn weights and size adaptations. All you need are two contrasting skeins of yarn that have equal yardage and a suitable set of circular needles (see notes on needle size).
• Level: beginner – intermediate. Don’t be intimidated by the pattern. The alternating colour blocks are entirely created by slipped stitches and only onecolour is worked at a time.
• The pattern contains both, written instructions and charts and can be worked entirely from either option. Reading charts is not necessary!
• To make the most of your yarn, the pattern is adjustable. To adjust size, keep track of your yarn usage throughout the pattern. Instructions on how to estimate yarn usage for each following section are given in the pattern.
