This crochet pattern is for making an adorable Checkered bucket hat, much needed in cold winter days, it’s very pretty and cozy; and could be a lovely gift :)

You can choose whichever colours you like for the hat; the pattern works well with two colours but you can make it much more colourful if you like. In the example in my shop, four colours were used.

Head circumference: 23.5” (about 60 cm).
Hat height (without the brim): 7.9” (about 20 cm).
The pattern includes instruction on how to adjust the size.

In this pattern round endings are sewn perfectly !! You won’t be able to tell where they are !!

This is a really fun pattern, using standard crochet stitches and Tunisian Entrelac crochet stitches, which are described in detail.

These are great to crochet, you will learn them with this pattern (if you don’t know them already), and could use them in future projects.

The pattern includes two PDF files:

  1. Detailed step by step photo tutorial.
  2. Pattern without pictures for printing.

Both are written in US English terms.

It is a good idea to familiarize yourself with the pattern by following the photo tutorial first.
The printable version is best used when you already know the pattern.

Skill level: Intermediate.
A basic knowledge of crochet techniques and stitches required.

Materials:

  1. Yarn: Paintbox yarns simply DK, 100 gr., or any other brand of DK yarn. The exact amount needed is detailed in the pattern.
