Checkpoint is a bias triangular shawl worked with a center spine. It begins at the tip and grows towards the bottom edge. The striped sections are created using a simple intarsia technique.
Spincycle yarns Dyed in the Wool combines some of my favorite things, a domestic base, long color changes and a unique construction My challenge was to figure out a way for this yarn to show off all it’s loveliness.
I chose to combine it with a skein of 400 yard fingering weight. The light version is Madeline Tosh sock in Silver Fox with Spincycle Dyed in the Wool in the Saddest Place and the brown version is Magpie Fibers domestic fingering in Harpoon with Dyed in the Wool in Overpasses.
I added tassels because I needed to use up every bit of this lovely yarn and who doesn’t love a nice tassel?

thank you to Aaron McLaughlin for helping with photos!
