The Cheery Holiday Scarf is a quick-to-knit fringed scarf, using 4 strands of fingering weight yarn held together. Create your own stunning marled color combination and maybe use up some stash in the process, too!

Construction Details:
The scarf is worked in one piece. Fringe is added after the scarf has been knit.

Cast on/bind off
Knit/Purl
Slipping purlwise with yarn in front
Knitting through the back loop

Sizes: One size.

Finished measurements: Approximately 5.5”/14 cm wide x 60”/150 cm long, excluding fringe.

Gauge: 13 sts and 14 rows = 4”/10 cm in pattern using size needle to obtain gauge.

Needles: US 13 (9 mm) or size needed for gauge. Adjust needle size as necessary to obtain the correct gauge. 

Yarn: Approximately 200 yards EACH of four strands of fingering weight (CYCA #1) yarn, plus extra for fringe. To work the scarf in one strand of yarn, use 200 yards of bulky weight (CYCA #6) yarn, plus extra for fringe.

The sample scarf shows 2 strands of Hand Dyed Yarns by Shaina “Bounce” (85% Superwash Merino Wool, 15% Nylon; 394 yds/100 g), 1 ball.

Held together with 2 strands of Hand Dyed Yarns by Shaina “Whirl” (Boucle - 100% Superwash Merino Wool; 492 yds/100 g), 1 ball.

Fringe was made with 1 mini skein of Yarns by Shaina “Bounce” (78 yds/20 g).

Other Materials: Tapestry needle, scissors, size K (7mm) crochet hook for attaching fringe.
