Popular with college students this super fun cheeseburger ottoman is made with 2 recycled tires!  Not only is it great for the environment but it has a tendency to be the life of the party too.  The lid comes off for storage and it can be easily transported from place to place.
Skill Level: Easy
Materials:
Two 15” recycled tires (I used 65r/15) You can go to almost any tire shop and ask for old tires, they have to pay to dispose of them so they are happy to give them away.
One 32” round wood table top (can be picked up at most hardware stores)

Yarn: the entire project is made holding 2 strands of yarn together.  All yarn is medium/worsted weight unless specified. Color is the important factor so if a specific brand is not available, just find a comparable color.
(Bun) Color A: 8 skeins 7oz Red Heart Super Saver “cafe latte”
(lettuce) Color B1 and B2: one skein 5oz Red Heart Soft Touch “leaf green”  and one skein 7oz Red Heart Super Saver “spring green”
(beef patty) Color C1 and C2: one skein 6oz Lion Brand Homespun (or any textured/bulky yarn) “black” and one 7oz Red Heart Super Saver “coffee”
(melty cheese) Color D: two skeins 4.5oz Loops and threads impeccable “sunny day”
(tomato) Color E: one skein 7oz Red heart super saver “cherry red”
(onion) Color F: one skein 7oz Red heart super saver “Aran” (pickles) Color G: one skein 3.5 oz Lion brand Vanna’s choice “Kelly Green”

Designer note: when using colors E, F and G, you only need one skein, but you will be using two strands.  I recommend holding both ends of the yarn together, take care not to get tangled.

Crochet Hook:
