Chelsea Hotel
Discontinued.
This digital pattern is no longer available online.
I originally made this hat as a sample for Romni Wools, a LYS in downtown Toronto where I worked for a year. The stitch pattern came from Barbara Walker’s A Treasury of Knitting Patterns, p. 179, and it worked out so well that I decided to write up the pattern and release it for everyone to enjoy.
FYI, the pattern calls for 100 grams/150 yards, but the sample was knit using 55 grams.
The name of the pattern comes from a beautiful song by a very talented singer/songwriter friend of mine, Jason Brown. I originally wanted to call the hat something else but the name was taken, so I named it after the song since that’s what I was listening to when I knit the second sample.
