These hats were designed exclusively for The Dancing Sheep Yarn & Fiber but now we want to share them with you. Our hope is that many of you will crochet hats for our sisters struggling with cancer and wrap them up in love and hope by this simple act.

Charlotte, the yarn shop’s owner, says some women are doves, some women are peacocks. Doves appreciate the simple elegance in life. Peacocks delight in boldness and revel in intricate designs. There is a hat dedicated to each type of woman.

These patterns will be left up for you to use forever. Our hope is you will only use these patterns to bless someone else. They don’t necessarily need to be going through chemo. Please do not sell your finished project or alter this pattern in any way that will result in personal gain. Pass it On.

These hats are crocheted with DK, light yarn and a 5.5 mm hook. This means you will have to focus on keeping your stitches loose or your gauge will be too tight (note gauge above). This yarn / hook combo is intentional. I wanted these hats to be loose and comfy and not too warm.
