Chequered Cowl
‘A checkered cowl with a simple textured stitch pattern made from knit and purl stitches’

The cowl shows how only two two stitches: knit and purl can create an interesting textured surface. MATERIALS
2 50g balls of West Yorkshire Spinners Elements DK (pictured in golden sands) or other DK yarn
A pair of 3.75mm knitting needles
An additional 3.75mm knitting needle (for the three needle bind off
A tapestry needle

Length 24 inches

TENSION
22 stitches and 28 rows over 10cm square in stocking stitch
