Cheriyam is a small island lying some distance from Kalpeni atoll, which itself is located about 2000 km from the southwest coast of India. Cheriyam is almost uninhabited. This speck of sunlit earth inspired to me a bright triangular shawl. Cheriyam starts from few stitches and then develops to a final frill. The frill is knitted perpendicularily to the main body.
