US 3 / 3.25 mm 24 in / 60 cm circular needles, or size required to obtain gauge.

21 sts and 32 rows = 4 in / 10 cm over double-knit pattern, blocked.

Note: Pattern testers reported the final size of their cowl to be 12 in / 30.5 cm in height and 28 in / 71 cm in circumference. If you are concerned that your cowl may be too large, use needles that are smaller than recommended in the pattern.
