Cherry Creek Cowl and Scarves
Chunky yarns aren’t just for those times when you need a finished product in a hurry. They’re also a great design statement, especially when combined with classic lace stitch patterns normally used with lighter weight yarns. This pattern gives you three different looks: a cowl, a short infinity scarf, and a longer scarf which can be doubled up cozy around your neck.
Included in the pattern are tips and photos to help you get the most mileage out of any yarn you choose, along with links to helpful tutorials on the crochet chain provisional cast on, and Kitchener grafting.
This is a quick knit suitable for intermediate knitters and adventurous advanced beginners. The Kitchener stitch can be tricky, but it makes these pieces seamless, taking advantage of the reversible stitch pattern.
One pattern repeat is approximately 3.5”/9.5 cm long, and 8.5”/21.5 cm wide for all three pieces.
