Cherry Wrap
This pattern for a shawl/scarf/wrap takes a texured zig-zag lattice stitch and combines it with a rich single ply yarn to create a lusciously warm piece with fabulous drape.
The lace pattern is knitted on both sides of the piece, increasing 2 stitches every row until the required width is reached. It then continues without increases for further depth. The pattern is a simple four stitch, eight row repeat, with SSPs on the wrong side the only slightly tricky part. In the final row before casting off, the stitch count decreases through the centre to create a curved inner edge.
Requirements:
5mm needles
Stitch markers (maybe)
About 170g of Single Ply DK yarn. Fyberspates Scrumptious DK in Cherry used here
The first release of the pattern had an error in row 9 in Part 2. The chart was correct, written instructions were not. Many thanks to Vannbennett for spotting this. The pattern has now been corrected.
A German version of the pattern is now available, many thanks to Anna iwiHiwiH.
