All babies are cherubs aren’t they?!
These are so quick and easy to make that they would be a good pattern for a last minute baby shower gift.
These sweet bootees are knitted flat on two needles using DK/8 ply yarn.
Wings are made separately and added to the back seam.
There are instructions on how to do the 3 needle cast off seam on the sole.
There are 3 sizes. Sole measurements (unstretched) are:
7 cms/2.75”, 8 cms/3.25 “, 9.5 cms/3.75”
This is approx amounts of DK/8 ply yarn needed for the 3 sizes:
30 (35, 40) gms; 60 (70, 80) m / 66 (77, 88) yds
I used DK superwash wool but other soft wool-mix, cashmere or alpaca yarns would be fine too. 100% cotton may be a bit heavy for the wings to sit up though.
