Simple striped socks with innovative heels and toes. The colors used on the heels don’t run across the top of the foot, so that you can use absolutely any colors creating crazy combinations. This pattern looks best when knit in controlled stripes (I mean when you do the striping). Self-striping yarn can be used as well, but the fun structure on the toes and heels will be lost somewhat. If you want to use self-striping yarn, take my advice, and add the second contrasting color for the wedges on the toes and heels.

You must be familiar with standard short-rows technique to successfully knit this pattern.

Size: the pattern is written for fingering-weight yarn and 2.0-2.5 mm needles. It is available in three sizes: 60, 66 and 72 sts around foot. The length is totally adjustable.

You will need at least 50g/200m of each color for bicolored striped socks.
