Light and textured lacework and stripes make the Chestnut Socks a delightful project. They’re worked toe-up, with a patterned Fleegle heel construction - each row of the heel is written with detailed instructions so you can get the pattern flowing seamlessly into leg easily! The pattern includes links to video tutorials for used techniques so it’s as easy to knit as possible.

This pattern has been tech edited and test knit.

Sizes

1 (2, 3) corresponding to sock circumferences: 17.5 (20, 22.5) cm / approx. 7 (8, 9)“.

Choose a size that is 1 - 2.5 cm (0.5 - 1”) smaller than your foot circumference (measured before the toes). Foot length is adjustable - for good fit, knit a sock approx. 1 cm (0.5”) shorter than your actual foot length.

Yarn & Yardage

approx. 240 (280, 320) m - 260 (305, 350) yds of fingering weight (category 1 - super fine) yarn. Sample worked in Slavica Yarns Domovik HT - 75% merino, 25% nylon, 425 m (465 yds) per 100g. If you plan to lengthen the leg of the sock or knit a foot longer than 25 cm (10”), please take into account that it will increase yardage required.
