Chevalier à la Rose is a reversible rectangular shawl. It is light and airy, worked in one piece and could easily be adapted to make larger or smaller shawl by altering the number of pattern repeats. The pattern can be memorized easily. The sample is knitted in a fingering weight yarn, but you could work it also in a lace weight yarn by adjusting the needle size. Directions are given for one size.
This pattern is also suitable for beginner lace knitters. Skills required: cast on, bind off, knit, purl, k2tog, double yarn over.
The pattern includes both charts and written instructions.
