Chevron Gift Card Holder
Say you have someone on your Christmas list, maybe your mother-in-law who lives in Florida. This person is impossible to shop for in general; lives in a warm climate, so sweaters/hats/scarves are out; and worst of all, she’s gluten-intolerant, so you can’t even go with the fallback of a big box of Christmas cookies. You realize that the only way you’re both going to get through this gifting season is with a gift card, but dang it, you love to give handmade gifts. Solution: gussy up that gift card with a hand knitted gift card holder! You get to make something, impossible-giftee gets a gift card, there are no huffy silences at the Christmas dinner table. Win-win-win.
This gift card holder is worked in the round from the top down. The bottom is closed with a Three-Needle Bind Off, which forms a decorative raised edge along the bottom. The top is closed with a button and a crocheted loop. A gift card will fit snuggly inside the tube.
Designate each yarn as C1, C2, and C3. Maintain the Chevron pattern in 1-2-3 order throughout.
