This shawl is great for summer evenings. The lace stitch used is simple and alternating it with stickinette stitch creates a dynamic striped effect. Consider incorporating a self striping yarn into the mix for even more interest.

The triangular shape of this shawl is wider than typical for a triangular shawl and the result is a garment that can be draped over your shoulders and tied at your back for a shrug effect.

6/12/2020: I made revisions to this pattern so that it can more easily be used for any weight yarn. The new sample (brown shawl) was knit with Stargazer Brushed by Juniper Moon Farms.
