This is a pattern for a chevron texture cushion cover, originally published in Future Beginners Knits bookazine. It is an easy project to make, fine for beginners. the front is a simple knit and purl stitch, and the back is stocking stitch. the bands are moss stitch. To fit a 40 x 40 cm cushion pad. You will need 2 x 100 gm hanks, and 6 x buttons. The sample is in Duck Egg.
