There has been quite an influx of yarn with long color changes and not a lot of patterns available. A friend asked me to come up with a scarf pattern for the yarn and this is what I ended up with.

I only “sacrificed” a small amount of yarn to make the stripes match, but it is totally up to the knitter whether that is what they want to do.

This also makes a lovely small shawl, especially if you make the ribbed section just a bit longer.

I would not use a variegated yarn though, the texture stitches will be lost. Yes, a test knitter did, could not see the designs!

This is a fast and easy knit and I hope you enjoy making and wearing this scarf.

If you desire, use a worsted weight yarn and comparable size needles and it will be a bit bigger. No hard and fast rules on that!
